Dr. Safa qualified as HE teacher in 2012 from the University of Salford, UK, and is considered as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) Professional HE Teacher Status (from Higher Education Academy). In August 2007, Dr. Safa achieved her PhD in HRD and learning. Her research in “the role of learning to improve the workface skills and qualification” was acquired from Newcastle University, UK. In 2001 she gained her MSc in HRM from the University of Manchester in the UK.
Dr. Safa experiences cover many higher education businesses in a wide range of stakeholders in the form of governmental departments, professional bodies, employers, NGOs, CSOs , universities, awarding bodies, and funding bodies on the local , national and international level. Also, she is recognized as an international consultant at the British Council, DFID and UN as an educational development consultant and researcher. She has more than 20 years experience in learning, quantitative and qualitative research methods, HR and recruitment and selection, HRD, training and development, managing projects and delivering consultancy worldwide with different international organizations such as the British Council, USAID, save the children, Care international, AID-ME (Academy for international development in MENA region) and universities in the UK and MENA region. She has lead/managed many projects in a wide variety of thematic areas (HRD and organizational development) in areas such as women empowerment, community empowerment, excluding, economic empowerment, leadership and innovation. The majority of these projects have been collaborative and externally funded by different.
